Mitten Bags help provide athletes the grip they need while playing sports such as disc golf, bowling, cross-fit, golf, pool, and countless others. Our unique mitten shape is designed to fit nicely in your palm, while absorbing sweat or rain from your hands. We use 100% cotton, durable fabrics and a calculated mixture of extremely moisture absorbing powder and clay stone. This mixture allows for a bag that is ready to use, yet will only continue to get better as the clay stones break down into a finer powder. That’s right, no break in period is necessary!
All Mitten Bags are handmade out of Detroit, Michigan by Samantha Yanssens. Some of our bags are made to order, so please allow 3-4 business days for your order to ship out. Our Mitten Bags are approximately 4.5" tall and 3.5" wide. Patterns may slightly vary from Mitten Bag photos. There is a small tab on the top of your Mitten Bag to give you the option to hang on a backpack, cart, or even a towel! If your Mitten Bag gets wet or rained on, don't worry. You can leave your bag out to dry, and it should return back to it's normal state once dry. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask! Shoot us an email.

meet the owner
Hi! My name is Samantha Yanssens and I am the founder of Mitten Bags. I currently reside in the Metro-Detroit area with my husband Jeff and our cat Thomas. Mitten Bags came about with combining my love for sewing and disc golf. My Grandma first taught me how to use a sewing machine when I was only 5 years old, and it has always been a very important part of my life.
I was first introduced to disc golf in high school. I started competing in 2013 when I joined the PDGA, and went pro in 2016. Mitten Bags was first started as just an idea among myself and one of my best friends, Ashlee Jurski. It took months of making prototypes, different fillings, and testing the bags until the final product was launched. Mitten Bags was made official in July of 2017 and I haven’t looked back since! Ashlee still helps us find unique fabrics, along with my husband Jeff. I love that I have been able to incorporate so many of my passions into everyday life. Mitten Bags has brought so many great opportunities, and I have been able to meet great people along the way. I am very thankful for where we are today, and look forward to what the future brings for us!
